        ENTERTAINMENTS
        at the
        TEXAS RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL
Members of The Society for Creative Anachronisms (SCA) gave fighting demonstrations daily at the Battle Mound close by the Tournament Field. A melee is in progress in this view, with the "dead" and "wounded" cluttering the battlefield as both sides prepare to charge once more into the fray.
Audience participation is a major part of all the acts at TRF, including the popular "Ded Bob" show. Here Ded Bob tells a humorous tale with the assistance of"Zombie Number One", a female volunteer from the audience. (photo by John Dunn).

The "Throw-up Comedy Juggling" act warms up with some help from the audience (yes, that is a bra they are holding suspended in mid-air between them!). Like Ded Bob, the Throw-up Comedy Jugglers are another popular show which travels the Midwest RenFaire circuit widely during the summer season (photo by John Dunn).

Here the Throw-up Comedy Jugglers combine flaming torches, a bowling ball and some acrobatics in a fine demonstration of their juggling skills before an enthusiastic crowd. (photo by John Dunn).
