        LANES AND BYWAYS
        of the
        TEXAS RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL
(UPPER LEFT) A view from "Eagle Hollow", showing the throngs of fairegoers who filled the lane between the Globe Theatre and King Henry's Table; (UPPER RIGHT) A pair of men-at-arms with spears pause on their appointed rounds for a brief moment's chat with some knights and their ladies....
UPPER LEFT) Looking down the lane toward the Tournament Field from the vicinity of the Raven's Bend Stage; (UPPER RIGHT) After a long, hard day of swabbing their cannons, buckling their swashes and other general mayhem and mischief, even the hardiest Pirates must needs pause for a wee bit of rest and relaxation!
(UPPER LEFT) A view of the craftshops between the Dove Meadow Stage and the Globe Theatre. (UPPER RIGHT) The Dragonslayer Shop. According to the Festival brochure, "This fine shoppe presents Official Festival Commemoratives: Tankards, T-shirts, Posters and all manner of limited edition collectibles - Pewter Goblets, Tankards, Spoons and Postcards, Ponchos for inclement weather." And the building is pretty awesome, too! (photo by Sean Eddings).
